Abstract

Two prototype belt conveyor drying systems were installed in commercial cotton gins for testing and demonstration. Results indicated that this new drying technology is more efficient than a conventional tower dryer. In addition, the belt dryer improved seed cotton cleaning efficiency and grade of wet, high-foreign-matter cotton.
