Assessing the Influence of Secondary Electron Emission Characteristics on Multipactor in Rectangular Waveguides

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

Multipactor in a rectangular waveguide is studied using numerical simulations. Particular attention is given to the secondary electron emission characteristics including their energy spectrum (hence velocity spread) and angular distribution. Elastically scattered, rediffused and true secondary electrons are all comprehensively included based on the Furman-Pivi model [1] for the TE10 mode. The focus is on small waveguides and lowest order resonance conditions.
