Abstract

Many researchers struggle with the concept of content validity for perceptual measures: do the survey items developed actually reflect the content of the intended theoretical construct? One methodology for testing content validity involves having impartial test subjects rate the perceived strength of the relationship between survey items and the intended survey constructs. This paper describes how this approach was applied to analyze the content validity of survey constructs developed for a research program studying the impact of Kaizen events.
