Abstract
The application of time-temperature-transformation (TTT) isothermal cure diagram and the continuous heating transformation cure diagram (CHT) for understanding the curing process is described. It is used to design time/temperature cure paths for various processing operations. A reaction model is used to describe the experimental Tg versus time data for the epoxy-rich and an amine-rich system in both kinetically and diffusion controlled regimes. Gelation and vitrification are two principal transformations which may occur during cure.
