Abstract
Boundary element technology has been evolving at a rapid rate. Some of the key advances, particularly in the area of solid mechanics, are highlighted in this paper. The application of the method to a wide variety of complex static and dynamic problems is described and discussed. Solution strategies for both geometric and material nonlinearities are also outlined here.
