Abstract

The site Active Listening site was developed within the project “Interactive Web-based training in the subtleties of communication and active listening skill development.” The Active Listening site (see Figure 1) aims to provide beginning counseling psychology students with didactic and experimental learning activities, and interactive tests so that students obtain fundamental active listening skills for effective and facilitative communication. As a technical consultant and a site developer, we developed the site with streaming video and advanced Web technologies so that the student can effectively practice the subtleties of active listening skills in an authentic counseling situation.
