Abstract
Mariachi has long been a male dominated field. I am one of few female mariachi harpists in the world and I was invited to participated in this important and historic event honoring the contributions of women to the mariachi tradition. This concert was in conjunction with the Viva el Mariachi Femenil museum exhibit.
