Bach Solo Cello Suites 4, 5 & 6 (TCU) (4)

A performance of my transcription for double bass the Bach Cello Suites 4, 5 & 6 and the completion of performing my own transcriptions of all 6 Cello Suites. History's most famous solo bassist, Gary Karr, was in the audience. He said of my performance: “The Bach Suites were waiting nearly 200 years to be convinced by Pablo Casals that they had to be a part of every cellist’s repertoire. This music proved to be a milestone in raising the standards of cello playing. Mark Morton, too, by making these six suites accessible for all double bass players, is bound to have an enormous influence in elevating the quality of bass playing. Hearing him perform all the Suites in concert was a touchstone event which, for me, was a dream come true.”
