Abstract

"New Photography Tools: From Google to Algorithm" explores how programs, applications, and artificial intelligence technologies shape and change the photographic discourse, challenging traditional media boundaries. Various applications and services (Google, Photoshop, Flickr, Snapchat, visual recognition software, etc.) give us new tools to create images, think photographic. Technological interfaces not only serves the creation of a snapshot, but it can become the same logic of photographic projects. The presented authors offer perspectives to discuss and raise questions about technological change processes. From the analysis of traumatic event issues and the inaccessibility of inaccessible places through technological mediation, to the gameplay of our expectation of everywhere in Photoshop manipulation.
