Abstract

Juried group exhibition at rural art center with national reputation.

Press release-

As we consider the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, and use terms to describe its longevity, we return to the phrase “incubation period” and its frequent use as a key term in the creative process. The coming weeks and months will be different for all of us. As art exhibitions close, receptions are postponed, and centers of art temporarily shut down, we ask ourselves – what can we do to cultivate creativity during this unique time of isolation? How does one contribute to community while being apart, and how can we stay creatively engaged during moments of isolation and quarantine?

Incubation Period is virtual exhibition curated from Instagram submissions – artists sharing the work they are making in response to their own and others’ isolation or uncertainty, in this uniquely challenging, physical and emotional time. Our goal is to create a digital space where art continues to circulate, and to archive this important shared moment in time. #PARCincubationperiod

https://www.granaryarts.org/incubation-period-parc-collective
