12th Annual Drawing Discourse

Research output: Non-textual formExhibition

Abstract

Esteemed painter, Pamela Phatsimo Sunstrum, served as juror of the UNC Asheville Department of Art and Art History's 12th international contemporary drawing exhibition. The show "seeks to examine drawing as it is practiced and defined by today’s artists. Such an exhibition [demonstrates] the continued significance of drawing through both conventional and innovative methods." From 1925 entries, submitted by 566 artists representing 11 countries, Sunstrum selected 120 pieces for the exhibition. The exhibition was presented both online and in a print catalogue, and can be viewed digitally at https://aah.unca.edu/exhibitions/drawing-discourse/dd-13-test.
